Carter played three years of college baseball at Kirkwood CC and Marshalltown CC. He was awarded Fall MVP in his second year at Kirkwood CC.

He was a five year varsity starter at Woodbury Central High School where he was awarded All-State twice, All District x5,  All-Conference x5, and many school records.

Carter has been personal training high school and youth baseball players for three years. He is also the head coach for the Futures Showcase team.

He was a part of the 2022 Futures Legion State Champion team and the 2017 Futures USSSA Majors State Champion team as well.

Carter uses video and technology to boost the production and training of all of his athletes during their sessions.
